“Dan Palmier has always been a supporter of the ACA mission with donation and support over many years. His Foundation’s recent donation will help to develop the next generation of youth to be thinkers who are grounded in a Christian worldview.”remarks Neill Faucett, a member of the Executive Board of the American Council of ACA.
“One of the ways we can make an impact in India is through education” proposes Dr. Joy George, founder of ACA. “The ACA College of Arts and Sciences will serve a vital need of the people in our immediate vicinity. And since it will be the first Christian college of its kind in all of India, we foresee a significant attraction from both near and far. Outside of Bangalore, there is only one other college option for our local population and it is more than 15 to 20 miles for most college-bound students. The new ACA College of Arts and Sciences and its focus on a Christian environment, Theological Education, and free Bible courses will provide a wonderful alternative with excellent academic standards for all students.”
The Palmier Foundation’s most recent donation gives ACA the resources to build their long-standing dream of a Christian college near their current campus on the outskirts of Bangalore, India. The donation will establish the needed infrastructure as well as a classroom and educational design to foster ACA’s curriculum and mission on a beautiful 22-acre location.
This summer will bring a significant amount of needed infrastructure and development work with the groundbreaking of the first 30,000 square foot building to occur in September of 2017. Eventually, it is expected that more than 2,000 students will attend this college. The first semester will begin July 2018.
Located near Bangalore, India, the Asian Christian Academy’s 46-acre campus also provides ministry and social services to Christians in the tiny villages surrounding the campus. ACA’s House of Joy tends to the needs of and provides shelter for nearly 50 orphans. In the education realm, ACA’s Children’s School and Asian Christian High School provide Christian education to 3,100 Indian children from kindergarten to the 12th grade. Agape Hospital is a low or no cost medical clinic, responding to the medical needs of hundreds of villages near Bangalore. The ACA Seminary has graduated over 1,000 pastors and ACA provides mentorship, financial support, and assistance with recent seminarians in their establishment of and community outreach in more than 25 new churches throughout India.
